Acuvail (ketorolac tromethamine)
Ophthalmic Solution is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain inflammation after cataract surgery or corneal refractive surgery, and also to relieve eye itching caused by seasonal allergies.
What Are Side Effects of Acuvail?
Common side effects of Acuvail include:
mild burning,
stinging, or
itching of your eyes; swollen or puffy eyelids, or
headache
Dosage for Acuvail
The dose of Acuvail is to apply one drop to the affected eye twice daily beginning 1 day prior to cataract surgery, continued on the day of surgery, and through the first 2 weeks of the postoperative period.
