Tobacin Eye/Ear Drops are used to treat superficial bacterial infections of the eye, such as conjunctivitis, and of the outer ear. They help reduce redness, discharge and irritation caused by susceptible bacteria.

They contain tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Use the drops as prescribed by your doctor, in the affected eye or ear only. Complete the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms improve, to make sure the infection clears fully.

Avoiding touching the dropper tip to your eye, ear or any other surface helps prevent contamination of the bottle. Washing your hands before and after using the drops, and not sharing the bottle with others, helps prevent the infection from spreading.

Tell your doctor if you have any known allergy to aminoglycoside antibiotics before starting this medicine. These drops are not effective against infections caused by viruses or fungi. Report worsening pain, swelling, vision changes or a rash to your doctor promptly.
